Blog of the Year- 4 Stars

A huge thank-you to my friend Kate for nominating me once again for the ‘Blog of the Year’. Kate says I am now a ‘4 star general’. http://believeanyway.wordpress.com

You are an inspiration Kate! Thanks so much.

boty-4star-thumb I know this is a busy time of year for so many of us. Please understand you are under no obligation when you are nominated.

And here are the rules:

1 Select the blog(s) you think deserve the ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award.

2 Write a blog post and tell us about the blog(s) you have chosen – there’s no minimum or maximum number of blogs required – and ‘present’ them with their award.

3 Please include a link back to this page ‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award – http://thethoughtpalette.co.uk/our-awards/blog-of-the-year-2012-award/and include these ‘rules’ in your post (please don’t alter the rules or the badges!)

4 Let the blog(s) you have chosen know that you have given them this award and share the ‘rules’ with them

5 You can now also join the award’s Facebook group – click ‘like’ on this page‘Blog of the Year 2012’ Award Facebook group and then you can share your blog with an even wider audience if you choose to

6 As a winner of the award – please add a link back to the blog that presented you with the award – and then proudly display the award on your blog and sidebar … and start collecting stars…

Yes – that’s right – there are stars to collect!

Unlike other awards which you can only add to your blog once – this award is different!

When you begin you will receive the ‘1 star’ award – and every time you are given the award by another blog – you can add another star!

There are a total of 6 stars to collect.

Which means that you can check out your favorite blogs – and even if they have already been given the award by someone else – you can still bestow it on them again and help them to reach the maximum 6 stars!

I never put them in any type of order and please understand there are so many awesome blogs that deserve this award. I want to thank all my followers, readers and anyone that just takes a peek at my blog.

I do apologize if I ever forget to thank anyone as it is not intentional. I appreciate you all. Thank you so much.

If you visit this page, http://positiveboomer.net/2012/12/08/blog-of-the-year-2012/  you can copy and paste the thumbnails of the Star Awards that I grabbed from Donah at  http://sweetjellybean.com/   Thank-you Donah.

Strengthen Your Immunity

Have someone you can always count on to make you laugh? Yes. I do. My Hubby has a terrific sense of  humor and quick wit. He can always make me laugh.

Spending a little extra time with her/him over the holidays could reduce your risk of a cold 75% over the next two weeks!

Laughter spurs your body’s production of the antibodies and white blood cells that zap viruses; in fact, it’s so powerful, it can help protect you even if your friend has a cold when you get together.

Feeling blue?

Spending more time with upbeat friends conquered depression for up to three in four people studied, many in as little as four weeks—a better success rate than antidepressants or talk therapy.    ~Source:  Woman’s World Magazine

I am a real believer of “positive attitude”. I do not like to hang around people that see too much of the negatives in our world.

Vitamin F

Happy Friday! I loved this and want to share it with you…thank you Bonnie for sharing it with me.Why do I have a variety of friends who are all so different in character?

How can I get along with them all? I think that each one helps to bring out a “different” part of me.

With one of them I am polite. I joke with another friend.

I sit down and talk about serious matters with one. With another I laugh a lot.

I may have a drink with one. I listen to one friend’s problems. Then I listen to another one’s advice for me.

My friends are all like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. When completed, they form a treasure box. A treasure of friends!

They are my friends who understand me better than myself, who support me through good days and bad days. We all pray together and for each other.

Real Age doctors tell us that friends are good for our health. Dr. Oz calls them Vitamins F (for Friends) and counts the benefits of friends as essential to our well being. Research shows that people in strong social circles have less risk of depression and terminal strokes. If you enjoy Vitamins F constantly you can be up to 30 years younger than your real age. The warmth of friendship stops stress and even in your most intense moments it decreases the chance of a cardiac arrest or stroke by 50%.

I’m so happy that I have a stock of Vitamins F!

Thank you for being one of my Vitamins!
