A Mother’s Love

WHAT AN AMAZING EMAIL…WHAT AN AMAZING MOTHER DOG!! WOW!!

During an early morning response to a house fire, firefighters were amazed as a mother dog risked her life to save her puppies from the fire surrounding the burning house.

ATT458

The mother dog, Amanda, raced back and forth from the house, putting her 10-day-old puppies in the safest place she could find … a Fire Truck! An onlooker photographed it with his cell phone after she already had a few in one of the truck’s equipment compartments.

ATT000102

She didn’t stop racing back into the smoke and fire until all of her puppies were safely away from the fire. The firemen on scene could not believe their eyes. Most people have never seen a dog this smart or this brave!

ATT000133
Bringing each one out, six trips into the fire, and no one could stop her. All the fireman could do was to try to keep a little water spray on her to keep from singing as she kept making trips running back through the open door into the fire.

ATT000164
You can see some of the singed hair on her back end, forehead and lower legs.

ATT000195

After rescuing all of her pups from the blaze, Amanda sat down next to them to nurse, protecting them with her body. Onlookers called an emergency veterinary service and she and her pups were rushed to the hospital.

Aside from one puppy being treated for serious burns, the entire family are alive and well … thanks to the bravery of Amanda!

What a heroic mother! How Great!

A story to touch your heart on this Sunday.

You Rock My World

When I finished my gym workout I was smiling.

After I read this text from my Husband I was smiling really big.

This is the text: “Hey you sweet, sexy lady. Happy 42 years, 7 months, but who’s counting. lol. love you babe.”

This left me feeling all giddy and I thought, “I will keep him”  “He’s a Keeper for sure.”  He sure is!

Touched my heart and just a warm thought to share with you.

Spring Break Memories

A younger photo of my granddaughter and grandson.

A busy day at my house today with my precious treasures.  I started off with making them my home made pancakes, with peanut butter and syrup over top. They tell me I make the ‘best pancakes’.

A.J. asked if I had bacon too. Yes, they did get bacon with their pancakes. I know some people can’t understand how I can fry up bacon since I don’t eat any of  it. I  just have never liked bacon!

This “Gamma” as my grandkidlets have always called me, loves to spoil them from time to time. OH maybe, most of the time.

After we cleaned up the kitchen M.J. asked me to play this card game with her called, “UNO”.  We had so much fun and tons of laughter.

It was even funny watching the weather through the window, as one minute it was hailing, then it would be mixed snow and rain. Then, the sun was shining! Crazy weather! I am being optimistic and believing that Spring is hiding around the corner.

A.J. joined in and then the three of us got going with the laughter. When my grandkidlets get me laughing so hard that I am crying and nearly wetting my pants , we had a super time. OH my goodness!

I try to explain to them that it does not matter who ‘won’. At the end of the day it is remembering all the laughter we shared.

Precious memories! They constantly leave “Heart Prints”.

I Am Glad GOD gave me my two GrandKidlets~

My morning started with a grateful heart. My Hubby hugged me so tight before he left for work and told me I was his world and how much he loved me. For all that and more I am deeply blessed and never take for granted.

I wish you all a beautiful day and hope someone brings a huge smile to your face and tells you just how special you really are.

My gym workout is done and I am feeling terrific.

Happy Friday!

I hope you enjoy reading this list as much as I did~

There were no ‘excuses’ for me this morning as I started my day with ‘prayer’.

I said, “I Can” and enjoyed the cold morning air as the world around me was just waking up. My Run of 3 miles, made me smile even more with all the positive energy around me.

I ‘hope’ to leave you with ‘encouragement’ and ‘smiles’.

Enjoy your day with ‘enthusiasm’ and ‘love’ in your heart. Have ‘Faith’, say a ‘prayer’ and remember to ‘smile’.

WHAT IS A GRANDPARENT?
Taken from papers written by a class of 8-year-olds. You’ll love it:

Grandparents are a lady and a man who have no little children of their own. They like other peoples.’

A grandfather is a man & a grandmother is a lady!

Grandparents don’t have to do anything except be there when we come to see them.

2011_0902Sept2011MadiAJ0141-001

They are so old they shouldn’t play hard or run.

It is good if they drive us to the shops and give us money.
When they take us for walks, they slow down past things like pretty leaves and caterpillars.

They show us and talk to us about the colors of the flowers and also why we shouldn’t step on ‘cracks.’

They don’t say, ‘Hurry up.’

Usually grandmothers are fat but not too fat to tie your shoes.

They wear glasses and funny underwear.

They can take their teeth and gums out.

Grandparents don’t have to be smart.

They have to answer questions like ‘Why isn’t God married?’ and ‘How come dogs chase cats?’

When they read to us, they don’t skip. They don’t mind if we ask for the same story over again.

Everybody should try to have a grandmother, especially if you don’t have television, because they are the only grownups who like to spend time with us.

They know we should have snack time before bed time, and they say prayers with us and kiss us even when we’ve acted bad.

:)

A 6-YEAR-OLD WAS ASKED WHERE HIS GRANDMA LIVED.

’’OH,’’ HE SAID, ”SHE LIVES AT THE AIRPORT, AND WHEN WE WANT HER, WE JUST GO GET HER. THEN WHEN WE’RE DONE HAVING HER VISIT, WE TAKE HER BACK TO THE AIRPORT.”

GRANDPA IS THE SMARTEST MAN ON EARTH! HE TEACHES ME GOOD THINGS, BUT I DON’T GET TO SEE HIM ENOUGH TO GET AS SMART AS HIM!

It’s funny when they bend over; you hear gas leaks, and they blame their dog.

Send this to other grandparents, almost grandparents, or heck, send it to everyone. It will make their day.

~Source: I take no credit for these words from the class of precious 8 year olds. A special friend shared this with me today in an email and I  enjoyed these comments so much that I need for you to read them all as well.

I know you will be smiling. Enjoy!

National Compliment Day

Today is National Compliment Day!

Compliments are free. Spread the joy. Compliment at least five people you see throughout your day. Oh gosh, I am sure we can give out  kind words, warm thoughts and fantastic compliments to more than just five people.

I want to tell you ALL how wonderful you are. You are terrific. You really are! We are all special in our own way.

Thank-you. Have a fabulous day and remember to smile and give out as many compliments as humanly possible. Be genuine. Smile.

Just maybe more of this kindness can spread throughout all of our days.
